Political Career

Joe Orson was elected to Melton Borough Council in the May 2003 elections, representing Melton Sysonby Ward. From May 2003 to 2004 he served on the Planning Committee and the Overview and Scrutiny Committee. From May 2004 to the present he is serving on the Policy, Finance and Administration, and Rural, Economic and Environmental Affairs Committees.

Joe was elected Deputy Leader of Melton Borough Council in February 2004

Joe is the Melton Borough Representative on the Melton Young Singles Trust (MYST) governing body.

Joe Orson was also elected to serve Melton Asfordby Divison as Leicestershire County Councillor on May 5th 2005.......Joe received 54% share of the vote in a three way contest, his political opponents received 24% and 22% share of the vote.
